Surviving summer

Summer’s here! We don’t get to say that very often in Manchester… but it’s hot!

Hot weather, much like cold weather makes certain things more challenging. Pole dancing is one of them.

Luckily the studio has air conditioning so we blast out cold air during hot months.

Tips for surviving Summer

Take A Cold Shower

Cold showers before pole will really help. Plus if you’re wearing sun cream you can wash it off.

Wash Your Hands

Washing your hands really helps with grip.

Stay Hydrated

The most important thing you can do when working out in the summer is to stay hydrated!

Stretch

When the weather is hot, it’s a good opportunity to stretch! Muscles are less prone to injury if they are warm. You can even try much more bendy moves on the pole.

Use Grip

During hot weather, chances are you’ll sweat a lot more than usual. That means you’ll need a little help to stick.

Use Deodorant

It will make you less sweaty everywhere!

Take your workout outside!

Find a pole and have some fun! A children’s playground is usually fun!

Wear Breathable Clothes

Cotton clothes with a breathable fabric are god.

Don’t Overdo It

Take it easy when it’s this hot. Listen to your own body and know when to stop.

Use A Different Pole

Titanium gold, brass, powder coated, silicon or stainless steel, or anything but chrome. We have them all at the studio. Find what works for you.
