Children’s Classes FAQ


You probably have loads of questions before starting! What ages attend? I can’t make every week, can I still come? How do I book? Will they be able to do it? Where are you? How do the classes work?

WHAT SHOULD THEY WEAR TO CLASSES?

Aerial – Leggings and a long sleeved top with no buttons or zips.

Street Dance, Karate and Self Defence – Workout clothes

BabyBallet – You’ll have the chance to get tutus from us.

WHY CAN THEY NOT APPLY MOISTURISER?

These are never fully absorbed into the skin; it will transfer onto the equipment during use and will interfere with yours as well as other students grip.

WILL THEY BE ABLE TO DO IT?

Of course! Some people do find it a little harder but everyone gets there in the end!

WHY DO THEY HAVE TO REMOVE JEWELLERY?

Jewellery will impair your grip. Also, the equipment are specialised and expensive, jewellery damages them. Your jewellery will also become damaged and/or bent.

WHAT AGES ATTEND?

We have lessons from 18months old right through to 70! Each class will have the ages on there.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

HOW LONG IS EACH CLASS?

Each aerial class is for 45 minutes. Self defence and Karate are 1 hour.

IS IT SAFE?

Your instructor is an experienced, professional aerialist with knowledge of how to break down its elements and teach them safely and correctly. As with any sporting activity, injury can occur. Aerial Fitness can intensify existing injuries, especially back, neck and joints problems. Therefore, should this apply to you, it is advised that you seek medical advice before joining the class.
The classes are progressive and flexible enough to be able to adjust to individual needs.

CAN THEY COME ALONE?

Of course you can! Most children come to class alone. It’s also a great place to meet new friends!

WHY SHOULD THEY DO A COURSE, RATHER THAN SINGLE CLASSES?

The beginner course is designed to build strength each week. So you’ll get much more out of it if you come each week! Plus it’s cheaper!

CAN THEY REPEAT A COURSE?

Yes, of course you can. The courses follow a syllabus that is flexible enough to accommodate this. Every group dynamic is different. Pole Sessions will give you an opportunity to polish off all your moves!

THEY’VE NOT BEEN FOR AGES, CAN MY CHILD COME BACK?

Of course! You can either join at the level you was at or a lower one… It’s up to you.

WHERE CAN I FIND CLASS PHOTOS?

We add all our class photos into a private group on Facebook! If you attend the classes already, you can find the PHOTOS HERE

I WORK CAN’T MAKE IT ALL THE TIME… CAN SHE/HE STILL JOIN?

Of course! Just come when you can!
