How Our Beginner Courses Work


Firstly you choose a start date suited to you on our booking page… For example… if you can only attend Mondays then choose a Monday start date.

They will have ◼️ next to them. Each week they start on a different day/time. Which is the start of a new pole dance beginners course.

Pole Fitness Beginner Classes

Then they will be every week on the day you have selected for 6 weeks. You don’t need to book every week as you’re automatically booked in. If you can’t make a class don’t worry! You can swap your day or add one onto the end, just let us know!

What To Expect

You’ll start off with all other brand new beginners, with a dedicated beginner instructor. Everyone will be both excited and nervous! When you arrive you are given a free information pack and get told some information about your class. Then the fun begins!

You’ll start spinning around on week one and learn exciting new moves every week. Week four you’ll even start climbing and try supported headstands! Don’t panic… every single person will be able to do these. Week six you’ll even have a go at upside down.

Using both spinning and static poles you’ll find the one you love.

Expect to get stronger every single week. You’ll surprise yourself as you progress. Week six we go over some of the moves and you’ll see how strong you’ve got.

We’ll take progress pictures throughout your course and add them into our private members only group. If you want to share them on your own personal Facebook or Instagram then feel free!

If you want to take photos and videos off your own phone that’s ok too! Also if you don’t want any pictures taking just let us know.

Free Certificate and Classes

At the end of your pole dancing 6 week beginner course you receive a certificate and have lots of photo opportunities throughout your course to show your loved ones. You can then enter the intermediate stage and enjoy many more pole dancing classes in our Manchester studio before you go onto the advanced!

What To Wear

I’m so sorry to tell you this but shorts are best… I know everyone hates wearing shorts, especially in winter months, but it will really help your grip. If you have long pants on you’ll have to rely on arm strength to keep you from sliding down the pole.

But what if you don’t have shorts?! Baggy tracksuit bottoms will be ok, just pull them up to above your knee! Failing that we’ve had people turn up in pj’s and even men’s boxer shorts! They are all fine too… just wear whatever you feel comfortable in.

You don’t know how many times I’ve heard ‘my legs are hairy and haven’t seen sunlight in months or even years!’ Don’t worry… you don’t need to shave them… most of our advanced girls have found they grip better when they don’t (my poor partner hates that part!). Definitely don’t tan or moisturise either, they will turn you into a slippery mess and you’ll be a heap at the bottom of the pole!

As for your top, a vest top or t-shirt will be perfect. Bare feet is best, but you can wear grip yoga socks or trainers if you want.
